Federer caps off an incredible 2006 by winning the Shanghai Masters Cup.
Roger Federer defeated James Blake in the finals of the Masters Cup in Shangai 6-0, 6-3, 6-4. Where will he go next?

En route to his season capping victory, Federer also defeated Ljubicic, Nalbandian, Roddick, and Nadal (in stunning fashion!) before defeating the only American to make it out of group play. Blake himself, the last player to make it into the draw, had a amazing tournament and managed to finish the year 4th in the world, two spots ahead of Andy Roddick.

For Federer, this tournament finished another dominating year, during which he compiled a record of 92-5, 12 titles, 3 of which were Grand Slams. Both players will definitely take this momentum into the first Grand Slam of 2007, the Australian Open from January 15th-January 28th.
