Sony Ericsson Day 4
Finally, a full day of tennis yesterday, with only a quick rain shower delaying play for 5 minutes. Some great tennis was played, with the best match probably being on the Grandstand between Marat Safin and Feliciano Lopez. Lopez won 5 and 6, in a minor upset. Also winning were Nadal, Roddick, and Fernando Gonsalez. Hewitt pulled out, allowing American Robert Kendrick back into the draw after losing in the qualifying (and he was victorious to boot), and Bagdhatis fell as well. Over on the Women’s side, Henin, Clisters, and Hantuchova (last week’s winner) all moved on. Here are the rest of the results:
