From Vermont to Wimbledon: WhistlePig Rye Whiskey and Grand Slam Tennis Tours come together this July

Stowe, VT (April 16, 2019) — Wimbledon fans are able to enjoy a variety of delicious cocktails and culinary offerings this July, thanks to a collaboration between Grand Slam Tennis Tours (GSTT) and WhistlePig Rye Whiskey. WhistlePig is the No. 1 ultra-premium luxury rye whiskey distiller.1 The two Vermont-based companies will come together during Wimbledon at the GSTT Hospitality House. Tennis fans will have the chance to enjoy signature drinks while viewing the sport’s most famous event.

The Hospitality House

Located just a few steps from the All-England Club, the GSTT Hospitality House is a private event space. It serves as a social base for brunch, cocktails, parties, and meetings throughout the two weeks of Wimbledon. Most importantly, working with WhistlePig broadens the focus of the guest experience from food to let world-class cocktails hold court. In short, we’re raising the standard of Wimbledon hospitality.

A meaningful interaction of whiskey, food, tennis, and travel

WhistlePig’s mixologists designed the Centre Court cocktail experience, which showcases the brand’s limited-edition Farmstock Rye Crop 002. In addition, the house will feature neat pours of the company’s 10 and 12-year releases. Furthermore, London-based private chef Milli Taylor will create menu items featuring WhistlePig. In other words, this summer’s guests will be able to both drink and eat their rye.

“Our goal is to create a meaningful interaction of whiskey, food, tennis, and travel, all in one space. Working with WhistlePig brings a world-class product into our house. Plus, the act of learning about, tasting, and enjoying the whiskey also improves the overall experience. In short, that’s the point of what we’re doing,” explained GSTT’s Kyle Ross.

A continued partnership

The announcement follows a partnership around Grand Slam’s exhibition tournament in Stowe. During the event, it became clear that tennis fans had an appetite for whiskey. Partnering across the pond made sense as a way to connect WhistlePig with GSTT’s luxury travel audience.

The Hospitality House is accessible to GSTT travelers, invitees, and special guests throughout the fortnight of July 1st to July 14th in London. More information about the space is available here. Information about Farmstock Rye and other WhistlePig products is available at WhistlePigRye.com.
